You only learn by trying, right?

I really enjoy reading my friends' blogs. It is wonderful to know that I have friends that want to share their happiest and proudest moments with me - like when their baby takes his first steps. Or to think that they want to vent to me when their husband is driving them crazy and they need to tell the story to see the humor in it. OK, I know they are not just talking to me and that it is out there for the whole world to see - but I like to pretend! : )

Creative and entertaining writing does not come easily to me. I am a physical therapist. I repeatedly write things like "patient demonstrated appropriate fatigue with therapeutic exercise during treatment session" How creative is that?

I am not as technically savvy as I thought I was, as evident by the 2 hour phone conversation with my sister last night as she attempted to walk me through setting up the "about me" portion of this blog.

I get frustrated easily with this computer stuff - as I have just figured out that if you don't automatically save your drafts as you write them and you are thrown off of the internet - you lose everything you had written (refer back to the point that creative writing does not come naturally to me - and I am now frantically trying to retype everything that I had written. I am sure it was much funnier and entertaining the first time around.)

But you only learn by trying, right? For instance, I learned to autosave the draft as I am writing!

I don't have kids or a husband to brag and vent about. I have a job and 2 dogs.
I don't know that I have the entertaining life that actually deserves its very own blog site. We'll see how things go - maybe I will learn to improve upon my writing skills, or technical skills, or story telling skills. Or maybe I will even learn something about myself.
